Chemicals are selected in accordance with WHIMIS Guidelines. Environmentally friendly products are used where choice is available. Safety devises, such as wet floor signs are used to ensure a safe environment for all while any cleaning duties are being performed.
The Orion management team develops, implements and updates training programs for all staff regarding the use of cleaning solutions, the use of electrical equipment, proper use of safety devices and procedures to be followed for dealing with unsafe conditions.
Field supervisors are responsible to ensure that staff participate in programs related to safety issues. Supervisors will monitor and take appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions.
